The internet, how did we live without it! For all it offers in terms of information and learning, it does tend to mean we spend a lot of time searching for that perfect blog post, podcast or video.

When we are learning a language, all that searching can be frustrating. You know what you want, but finding it is not exactly straightforward. A text is too difficult, the podcast host speaks too fast, the accent of the person in the video is hard to understand. Wouldn’t it be great if someone would gather some useful content together, add some support materials and structure it in a logical way to allow for self-study without the time-wasting?

It would!

That’s one of the goals of Boss English – to gather together quality resources on specific topics so that you don’t have to spend ages searching online – to help you focus on learning.

Keep your tools neatly organised and you’ll always be able to find the right one when you need it!

It is also a good idea to start keeping a record of great websites, apps or articles you find. This can be done digitally, using Evernote or Simplenote.

But why not try keeping a learning notebook, having sections for interesting videos, great podcasts, useful websites for learning, apps you want to try… whatever it is you come across that you think might be useful again in the future.

When you find yourself with some time to spare, you can go through your notebook and be reminded of something you wanted to try out. You may be inspired to add a few extra minutes of English to your day.
